Holy Trivia

What is Holy Trivia?

Holy Trivia is a faith-based mobile trivia game that invites players to test and deepen their knowledge of the Ethiopian Biblical canon — the broadest biblical canon in all of Christendom, encompassing all 81 books recognized by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Unlike conventional Bible trivia apps, Holy Trivia celebrates the unique heritage of Ethiopian scripture, including texts such as the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, and the Meqabyan, alongside the familiar Old and New Testament writings. Players can engage in quick-match games, challenge friends head-to-head, and compete in monthly cash prize tournaments that reward both speed and scriptural accuracy.

Who is it for?

Holy Trivia is designed for Christians, Bible enthusiasts, students of scripture, and anyone curious about the rich theological traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Whether you are a lifelong member of the Tewahedo faith seeking to deepen your understanding, a fellow Christian eager to discover the broader biblical world, or simply a trivia lover looking for a meaningful and educational gaming experience, Holy Trivia welcomes you. The game offers multiple difficulty levels and categories, making it accessible to newcomers while still challenging seasoned scholars of the Word.

Who builds it?

Holy Trivia is built by an independent team of developers and faith enthusiasts who are passionate about making the ancient wisdom of Ethiopian scripture accessible and engaging for a modern audience. Our mission is to honor the heritage of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church by creating a platform that educates, entertains, and brings people together in friendly competition. We are committed to continually expanding our question library, improving the gameplay experience, and fostering a respectful community of learners and players.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to make the ancient wisdom of the Ethiopian Biblical canon accessible, engaging, and relevant for a modern generation. For centuries, the scriptures of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church have been a wellspring of faith, scholarship, and cultural identity for millions of believers. Yet much of this rich heritage remains unfamiliar to the wider world. Holy Trivia exists to bridge that gap — turning study into play, and curiosity into connection. We believe that learning scripture should never feel like a chore, and that friendly competition can be a powerful invitation to go deeper into the Word.

What We Believe

Holy Trivia is rooted in reverence for the full 81-book canon of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church — the broadest biblical canon in all of Christendom. This canon includes the books familiar to most Christians across the Old and New Testaments, alongside treasured texts such as the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, and the Meqabyan, which hold a special place in Ethiopian tradition. We approach every question with respect for the sacred text, drawing answers directly from scripture rather than opinion or interpretation. Our aim is to honor the heritage of the Tewahedo faith while welcoming believers of every background to discover, learn, and grow together.

How to Play

Every correct answer includes a scripture reference, turning each round into an opportunity to learn something new.
